(Assignment) Education methods as development factors The last few decades witnessed outstanding growth in western educational field. Wide range of educational researches has been taken place as different professionals brought forth different concepts on education methods. Some educationalists are of the opinion that promotion of individuals’ creativity must be the major focus of the modern education. This paper will explore the critical aspects of various views regarding western education system.

To be more specific, I tend to propose that highly specialized education system is more effective for the development of modern societies. The term specialized education itself gives a precise idea regarding what it indicates. It is the act of teaching/learning by taking a specific subject as the main point of concentration. As stated in the OECD reviews (178), the process of specialized education mold a student for a definite workplace environment. Vocational schools are good examples for specialized educational institutions where students concentrate on specific area of study such as mechanics or electrical work.

If the student possesses an exact idea regarding his future profession, specialized education will be the most appropriate choice. For instance, if a student owns some inborn singing abilities, music specialized institutions will greatly assist him to build up his future. Similarly, the specialized educational institutions provide work experience opportunities to their students in order to make them competent to modern tough situations. The companies also like to recruit experienced employees because that would help them to reduce huge training costs.

The most attractive feature of the specialized education is that it is completed in a short term as compared to other types of formal education. This feature also helps students to save certain amount of money. Nowadays, even working adults also wish to acquire specialized education in order to get employed in a reputed position. On the other hand, promoting creativity as the major focus of education involves many limitations. To illustrate, an individual’s creativity is a congenital quality and therefore in the case of non-creative persons, it can be developed only up to a small extent.

Moreover, it is a psychological fact that a person cannot be creative if he continues under any pressures (innovation-creativity.com). It may take long time for the completion of creativity development-oriented studies as they involve several phases and extensive procedures. Despite the negative aspects considering individual creativity as the highest value in education, it has some benefits also. For instance, today professional opportunities are notably left for individuals with innovative qualities, and ordinary people are demoted to lower levels.

However, as far as the majority student group is concerned, creativity development is not practical as every group contains several individuals with varying skills. The creativity development sessions in classrooms may irritate intelligent students since they are always creative by nature. Moreover, this system necessitates the service of a well trained and experienced faculty who has deep knowledge in various scientific training procedures.
