According to Christian (2013), 360 reviews help people develop business and interpersonal skills as they focus on three key pieces of feedback. These include the development of new ideas and skills, measuring and assessing progress as the business continues and identifying the personal challenges and the impact of all employees. As an employer, I would compare the current actual performance of my employees with either an ideal or a desired level of performance. This would highlight areas of focus to improve employee’s productivity and performance levels.

According to Barr (2012), performance measurement is a health plan that takes preventive action rather than corrective action. I would also introduce a performance appraisal system in my workplace, as it will provide employees with information on how they are perceived in the organization. It will provide developmental feedback on the strength the employee should capitalize on and the weaknesses where improvement may be required (Steven, 2011).
